MzansiGo Driver Terms of Use

Version 1.0 · Effective 14 September 2026 · Last updated 14 September 2026

These Driver Terms govern your access to and use of the MzansiGo Driver application and related services.

The MzansiGo Platform is operated by MzansiGo Innovations (Pty) Ltd, incorporated in the Republic of South Africa.

1. MzansiGo's Role

MzansiGo operates a technology platform that facilitates transportation arrangements between Riders and eligible Drivers. The Platform may make GoNow, GoDaily, GoSocial and other approved MzansiGo transportation opportunities available to Drivers.

Acceptance onto the Platform does not guarantee any minimum number of trips, Riders, hours or earnings.

2. Driver Relationship with MzansiGo

Unless applicable law determines otherwise based on the actual relationship and circumstances, Drivers provide transportation services as independent operators and are not employees of MzansiGo merely because they use the Platform.

Drivers generally determine when they make themselves available, subject to trips they have voluntarily accepted and obligations attached to scheduled bookings.

Drivers are responsible for their own tax affairs, statutory obligations and business expenses except where law or a written MzansiGo agreement provides otherwise.

3. Driver Eligibility

A Driver must satisfy MzansiGo's onboarding and continuing eligibility requirements, which may include identity verification, an appropriate driving licence, professional driving authorisation, applicable operating licence or permit, vehicle documentation, roadworthiness, insurance requirements and lawful background or safety checks.

Drivers must provide truthful documentation and notify MzansiGo where information materially changes.

4. Operating Licence and Legal Compliance

A Driver must not provide transportation through MzansiGo where doing so would be unlawful. Where an operating licence or permit is legally required, the Driver/operator must maintain the appropriate valid authority.

MzansiGo may restrict or disconnect access where required documentation has expired, been suspended, cancelled or cannot reasonably be verified.

5. Vehicle Requirements

Vehicles used through MzansiGo must satisfy applicable law and MzansiGo's reasonable safety and eligibility requirements. Drivers must maintain vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition.

A Driver must not intentionally perform a trip using a materially different vehicle or registration from that shown to the Rider unless MzansiGo has approved the change.

6. Going Online and Receiving Requests

Drivers may generally choose when to make themselves available. When online, trip opportunities may be offered based on factors including location, availability, scheduling, safety, trip conflicts and operational requirements.

A Driver may decline an offered trip unless accepting it creates a commitment under the applicable booking rules.

7. Accepted Trips

Once a Driver accepts a trip, the Driver must make reasonable efforts to fulfil that booking safely and professionally and must not accept trips they know they cannot reasonably perform.

Nothing prevents a Driver from cancelling where continuing would create a genuine safety, legal or emergency concern.

8. GoNow

GoNow provides on-demand trip opportunities. Drivers should proceed to the correct pickup point after accepting a GoNow trip and follow the applicable trip lifecycle within the Driver application.

9. GoDaily

GoDaily includes scheduled and recurring transportation. Before accepting a GoDaily trip or bundle, Drivers should review the applicable schedule.

Once accepted, Drivers are expected to honour scheduled commitments except where cancellation is reasonably necessary. MzansiGo may prevent conflicting bookings where scheduled trips overlap or create an unreasonable risk of lateness.

10. GoSocial

GoSocial provides pre-arranged transportation and may include additional safety and verification procedures. Drivers must cooperate with required Driver identity, vehicle/number-plate and QR verification and must not attempt to bypass those safeguards.

11. Driver and Vehicle Information Provided to Riders

MzansiGo may provide Riders with information required to identify the Driver and vehicle, including appropriate Driver identity/profile information, vehicle details, registration information and verification information for trip fulfilment and safety.

12. Fares

MzansiGo calculates or presents fares according to the applicable pricing system. Drivers may not demand an undisclosed additional fare from Riders.

Legitimate tolls, parking, waiting or other permitted charges must be handled according to MzansiGo's applicable rules.

13. MzansiGo Platform Fee

MzansiGo currently charges an 18% platform fee on eligible completed trips unless a different rate has been expressly agreed or disclosed for a particular programme or service.

Example: R100 eligible fare → R18 MzansiGo platform fee → R82 Driver amount, before any other applicable adjustment, tax or expressly disclosed charge.

MzansiGo may change its platform fee in future, but material changes will be communicated before becoming applicable.

14. Driver Earnings

Driver earnings are based on eligible completed trips and applicable MzansiGo rules. Amounts shown before final settlement may be provisional where a trip remains subject to payment verification, adjustments, disputes or reconciliation.

Drivers must not manipulate trips, distances, waiting time, payments or accounts to artificially increase earnings.

15. Driver Wallet and Payouts

MzansiGo may maintain a Driver Wallet or earnings ledger showing amounts attributable to the Driver. Payout availability and timing are subject to successful payment collection, settlement, fraud controls and applicable payout rules.

Where Daily Cashout is available, Drivers may request payment according to the conditions displayed by MzansiGo.

16. Taxes

Drivers are responsible for understanding and meeting their own tax obligations as independent operators unless applicable law requires MzansiGo to deduct or report an amount.

17. Cancellations

Drivers should avoid unnecessary cancellations after accepting trips. A Driver may cancel where reasonably necessary because of safety concerns, emergency circumstances, unlawful Rider behaviour, inability to perform the trip safely or material booking problems.

A Driver cancellation before pickup may result in MzansiGo attempting to rematch the Rider.

18. Waiting Time

Drivers must record waiting time honestly and may not deliberately delay a trip to generate waiting charges. Where waiting compensation applies, it will be calculated according to the applicable MzansiGo rules.

19. Safety and GoGuardian

Drivers must take reasonable steps to protect Rider safety and must not interfere with GoGuardian, live-trip sharing, verification or other MzansiGo safety functionality.

Drivers must report serious safety incidents through the appropriate MzansiGo or emergency channels.

20. Navigation and Location

The Driver application may process Driver location while necessary for matching, pickup, trip operation, navigation, GoDaily scheduling, Rider information, safety, GoGuardian and fraud prevention.

Navigation instructions remain subject to road rules, closures, actual road conditions and safe driving judgment.

21. Driver Conduct

Drivers must treat Riders professionally and respectfully.

22. Alcohol, Drugs and Fitness to Drive

Drivers must never provide MzansiGo transportation while impaired by alcohol, unlawful drugs, medication or any condition that makes driving unsafe. Drivers are responsible for ensuring they are sufficiently rested and fit to drive safely.

23. Rider Personal Information

Information about Riders is provided solely for legitimate trip and Platform purposes. Drivers must not misuse Rider names, telephone numbers, addresses, pickup/destination information, location, trip history or other personal information.

24. Ratings, Complaints and Investigations

MzansiGo may receive Rider feedback and complaints and may investigate safety, fraud, payment or conduct matters. Drivers will be treated reasonably and, where appropriate, given an opportunity to provide relevant information.

25. Suspension and Deactivation

MzansiGo may restrict or deactivate Driver access for legitimate reasons including expired or invalid licensing, fraud, serious safety concerns, material breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, repeated material abuse of Platform functionality, falsified documents, serious Rider misconduct complaints supported by appropriate evidence, or legal/regulatory requirements.

26. Insurance and Accidents

Drivers/operators are responsible for maintaining insurance required by law and applicable MzansiGo eligibility requirements. Drivers must promptly report serious accidents occurring during a MzansiGo trip through the appropriate channels and comply with legal obligations following a road accident.

27. Platform Availability

MzansiGo does not guarantee uninterrupted Platform availability or a minimum volume of trip requests. Temporary interruptions may result from telecommunications, GPS, payment systems, hosting, maintenance, third-party providers or circumstances outside MzansiGo's reasonable control.

28. Privacy

MzansiGo processes Driver personal information according to applicable South African privacy law and the MzansiGo Privacy Policy. This can include identity, contact, licensing, vehicle, location, trip, payment, safety and Platform usage information.

29. Liability

Nothing in these Driver Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, MzansiGo does not accept unlimited liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including anticipated earnings that did not arise merely because the Platform was temporarily unavailable.

30. Changes to Driver Terms

MzansiGo may update these Terms because of changes in law, regulation, Platform functionality, safety requirements or business operations. The applicable version and effective date will be displayed. Material changes may require renewed electronic acceptance.

31. Governing Law

These Driver Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
